Imagine taking a field trip, as an adult, into uncharted territory where you learn a ton. That’s what I did last weekend and I have to say…it left me thirsty for another field trip. I traveled to Fort Worth for family portraits and ended up shooting various things and people the entire weekend. One of my endeavors inspired me with excitement and I’m so proud to share with you, because it was what I call, a breath of fresh air.
Backstory: Couple of old friends, joined forces to do what they love…and are really good at it too!! They call themselves the Knuckleheads and specialize in 60′s customs and traditional hotrods, restoration and custom paint jobs. The two of them compliment each other with their skill set. Colin (green hat), and excellent welder, was kind enough to show me around the shop and give me a good feel for the place. I witnessed Nathan, the incredibly detail oriented painter, in action on a one-of-a-kind paint job and snazzy doesn’t even come close to describing it.
Colin kindly shared stories of good ol’ boys in the industry that when called requesting a car part, they pretend to know nothing about it until he “proves himself”, so to speak, by revealing his beautiful blue ’64 Ford Galaxie 500, featured below. Once stated, they suddenly remember just the part. “They think it’s cool that a young punk kid like me would drive a car like that.” said Colin.

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. I am so excited to share these with you and incredible thankful for the experience. Thanks, Knuckleheads!!
